Revolution In Me
''Revolution in Me'' is the debut studio album by British musician Siobhán Donaghy, released on 29 September 2003 by London Records. It was her first solo album following her acrimonious departure from British girl group Sugababes. Donaghy departed the group amid reports of her being bullied by its other members. When she quit the Sugababes, the band was dropped by London Records, who decided to retain Donaghy's contract as a solo artist. Donaghy began promoting the album in early 2003 under the pseudonym Shanghai Nobody, an anagram of her name. Using the pseudonym, she issued the promotional single "Nothing but Song", and performed at small English clubs such as Dublin Castle. She reverted to her given name for the release of the album's lead single "Overrated" in June 2003, which was a top twenty hit on the UK Singles Chart. " Twist of Fate" was issued as the album's second single in September. Despite receiving positive reviews, the album was a commercial disappointment upon ...

Pop Rock
Pop rock (also typeset as pop/rock) is a fusion genre and form of rock music characterized by a strong commercial appeal, with more emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft, and less emphasis on attitude than standard rock music. Originating in the late 1950s as an alternative to normal rock and roll, early pop rock was influenced by the Beat (music), beat, arrangements, and original style of rock and roll (and sometimes doo-wop). It may be viewed as a distinct genre field rather than music that overlaps with Pop music, pop and rock. The detractors of pop rock often deride it as a slick, commercial product and less Authenticity in art#Authenticity of performance, authentic than rock music. Characteristics and etymology Much pop and rock music has been very similar in sound, instrumentation and even lyrical content. The terms "pop rock" and "power pop" have been used to describe more commercially successful music that uses elements from, or the form of, roc ...

London Records
London Recordings (or London Records and London Music Stream) is a British record label that marketed records in the United States, Canada, and Latin America for Decca Records from 1947 to 1980 before becoming semi-independent. The London name – as London American Recordings, often shortened to London American – was also used by British Decca in the UK market, for releases taken from American labels, which British Decca licensed. The label is owned by Because Music, which also owns most of the label's 1980s and 1990s UK catalogue. History London arose from the split in ownership between the British and American branches of Decca Records. The American branch of London Records released British Decca records in the U.S., as British Decca could not use the "Decca" name there as well as vice-versa. The label was noted for classical albums made in then state-of-the-art stereophonic sound, and such artists as Georg Solti, Joan Sutherland, and Luciano Pavarotti. In a ...

2003 Singles
3 (three) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 2 and preceding 4, and is the smallest odd prime number and the only prime preceding a square number. It has religious and cultural significance in many societies. Evolution of the Arabic digit The use of three lines to denote the number 3 occurred in many writing systems, including some (like Roman and Chinese numerals) that are still in use. That was also the original representation of 3 in the Brahmic (Indian) numerical notation, its earliest forms aligned vertically. However, during the Gupta Empire the sign was modified by the addition of a curve on each line. The Nāgarī script rotated the lines clockwise, so they appeared horizontally, and ended each line with a short downward stroke on the right. In cursive script, the three strokes were eventually connected to form a glyph resembling a with an additional stroke at the bottom: ३. The Indian digits spread to the Caliphate in the 9th ...

A now uncommon spelling variant is Siubhán. It is derived from the Anglo-Norman and (Modern French ), which were introduced into Ireland by the Anglo-Normans in the Middle Ages. The name first appears in the surviving Irish annals in the early fourteenth century. The name is thus a cognate of the Welsh ''Siân'' and the English '' Joan'', derived from the Latin and (modern English ''Joanna'', ''Joanne''), which are in turn from the Greek (). This Greek name is a feminine form of the Greek (), which is in turn a shortened form of the Hebrew ( , a shortened form of ), meaning 'God is gracious', and origin of the masculine name ''John'' and its cognates. The popularity of the actress Siobhán McKenna (1923–1986) helped the resurgence of the name in the 20th century. ...

Songs Written By Cameron McVey
A song is a musical composition performed by the human voice. The voice often carries the melody (a series of distinct and fixed pitches) using patterns of sound and silence. Songs have a structure, such as the common ABA form, and are usually made of sections that are repeated or performed with variation later. A song without instruments is said to be a cappella. Written words created specifically for music, or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in the classical tradition, it is called an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Songs composed in a simple style that are learned informally by ear are often referred to as folk songs. Songs composed for the mass market, designed to be sung by professional singers who sell their recordings or live shows, are called popular songs. These songs, which have broad appeal, are oft ...
