Tweenies
''Tweenies'' is a British live action Puppet children's television series created by Will Brenton and Iain Lauchlan. The programme is focused on four pre-school aged characters, known as the "Tweenies", playing, singing, dancing, and learning in a fictional playgroup in England. They are cared for by two adult Tweenies and two dogs. 390 episodes were broadcast between 6 September 1999 and 25 July 2002. In 2000, the show won a British Academy of Film and Television Arts, BAFTA award for Best Pre-school Live Action series, and singles featuring exclusive songs spent some weeks in the charts during the early 2000s. The series premiered on the BBC's children's block, and aired reruns on CBeebies from the channel's launch in 2002 until 2016. In the United States, it was shown on Noggin (brand), Noggin, a sister channel to Nickelodeon. CBeebies
CBeebies is a British free-to-air public broadcast children's television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It is also the brand used for all BBC content for children aged 6 years and under. Its sister channel CBBC is aimed at older children ages 6–12. It broadcasts every day from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, timesharing with BBC Four. History On November 20, 2001, the CBeebies name was officially revealed as part of the split of the already-existing CBBC block, and would be used as both a pre-school block and a digital channel. Justin Fletcher
Justin Fletcher (born 15 June 1970) is an English actor, comedian, singer and television presenter on the BBC pre-school television channel CBeebies. Speaking and performing in various, often self-created, roles, he specialises in slapstick comedy and works with children with special needs through his show '' Something Special''. Fletcher also appears as the award-winning comedian Mr Tumble. Biography Fletcher was born on 15 June 1970 in Reading, Berkshire, the son of Guy Fletcher. He has three sisters and one brother. Bob Golding
Robert John Golding (born 15 August 1970) is an English actor and voice artist. He was best known for the voices of Milo and Max in the CBeebies show the Tweenies. Biography Golding studied at North Hertfordshire College from 1986 to 1989. Boo! (TV Series)
''Boo!'' is a British children's television series that was broadcast in the United Kingdom on the CBeebies channel, and originally on BBC Two. It features several cartoon characters who play a game similar to hide and seek in a variety of settings. The commentary is performed by an adult male and female narrators and a chorus of children. It was produced by the independent production company Tell-Tale Productions, which was also responsible for ''Tweenies''. From 2007 to 2012, reruns of the show were broadcast in the USA on Qubo. The series aired for a total of 104 episodes and one Christmas special was nominated for a BAFTA in 2002–03. At the end of the programme, a song is sung, usually about matching characters or objects to their shapes or colours. Will Brenton
Will Brenton is a writer/ producer-director who has worked in many areas of television and theatre, primarily through his companies Tell-Tale productions and Wish Films, both of which he founded with Iain Lauchlan. Together they gained six BAFTA nominations, as well as many other awards for their work together. They won a 2000 BAFTA, Best Pre-School Live Action. They first met as presenters on the BBC children's programme ''Playbus'', where they presented the Tent Stop together. From there they went on the write and appear in the pantomimes at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, from 1991 up to 2000. These pantomimes are still performed all over the UK today by Imagine Theatre. During that time they created and produced many of the UK's favourite TV shows for children, including ''The Tweenies'', ''Fun Song Factory'', '' Boo!'' and '' BB3B!'' ''BB3B '' was an animated UK children's television series produced by Tell-Tale Productions in 2005. The entire series consists of thirteen episodes of twenty minutes each. It is shown on CBBC in the UK and ABC Kids in Australia. It first went on air in 2005. It was created by Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton, who also created and produced ''Tweenies'', '' Boo!'', ''Fun Song Factory'' and '' Jim Jam and Sunny''. Alton Towers
Alton Towers Resort ( ) (often referred to as Alton Towers) is a theme park and resort complex in Staffordshire, England, near the village of Alton. The park is operated by Merlin Entertainments Group and incorporates a theme park, water park, spa, mini golf and hotel complex. Fun Song Factory
Fun Song Factory is a British preschool children's television series. It was originally created in 1994 by Will Brenton and Iain Lauchlan, who at the time, were part of the ''Playdays'' production team. The series was produced through their studio Tell-Tale Productions, and was originally released as a Direct-to-video series through Abbey Home Entertainment (and later PolyGram Video)'s "Tempo-Pre-School" imprint. Format The series centers around a factory where music is created. In it, live presenters alongside children come inside and sing a number of nursery rhymes, which depend on per episode.
