Tverråga
Tverråga is a river in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The river flows from lake Tverrvatnet north until it joins the river Ranelva. The river absorbs seven other rivers during its course, the last one by ''Hamaren'' near the village of Gruben. The ''Svenskvegen'' bridge connecting the European route E6 highway to the village of Gruben to the east marks a name change on the bridge. South of the bridge this river is the Tverråga, but the remaining section of the river to the north of the bridge is called the river Revelelva. The long Revelelva then flows into the river Ranelva. Tverrvatnet
Tverrvatnet vær'vatneis a lake in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The European route E12 highway passes along the northern and eastern shores of the lake between the town of Mo i Rana and the border with Sweden. Tverrvatnet gets its name from the fact that it is located "across" (), in a north–south direction, while most lakes in Rana are located in an east–west direction. Watershed The water in Tverrvatnet flows northwards into the lake Raudvatnet. The two lakes are connected by a short channel of water which is why the lake is sometimes considered to be the southern part of Raudvatnet. The river Tverråga flows to the north out of Raudvatnet towards the Ranfjorden. The river Tverråga is thus named after the lake Tverrvatnet, and those who gave the river Tverråga its name, did not consider Raudvatnet as a lake of its own, but as the northern part of Tverrvatnet. Revelelva or Revelåga is the local name of the lowest part of the river Tverråga, which has its outlet in the larger river Ranelva in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The river changes its name at the bridge connecting European route E6 with Gruben. Before this bridge it is called Tverråga. Passing this bridge, it is called Revelelva. Ranelva is a long river in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is one of the longest rivers in Nordland county. The catchment area of the river is . Before the power stations of ''Reinforsen'' (1925) and Langvatnet (1964) were built, the catchment area was . Path The river begins on the Saltfjellet plateau, near the border between Norway and Sweden, at the confluence of the little rivers ''Randalselva'' () and Gubbeltåga (). The river then flows mainly in a western-southwestern direction. On its way southwestwards, the river is joined by the river Virvasselva from south. European Route E6
European route E6 (, , or simply E6) is the main north–south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border.
