Turweston Green Bridge is a bridge under construction near Turweston. It will carry a road over the High Speed 2 railway line but at wide it is also designed to be a wildlife crossing Wildlife crossings are structures that allow animals to cross human-made barriers safely. High Speed 2
High Speed 2 (HS2) is a high-speed railway which has been under construction in England since 2019. The line's planned route is between Handsacre – in southern Staffordshire – and London, with a Spur line, branch to Birmingham. HS2 is to be Britain's second purpose-built High-speed rail in the United Kingdom, high-speed railway (after High Speed 1, the London to Channel Tunnel link). London and Birmingham are to be served directly by new high-speed track. Services to Glasgow, Liverpool, and Manchester are to use a mix of new high-speed track and the existing West Coast Main Line. The majority of the project is planned to be completed by 2033. The new track is being built between London Euston railway station, London Euston and Handsacre, near Lichfield in southern Staffordshire, where a junction connects HS2 to the north-south West Coast Main Line. Turweston
Turweston is a village and civil parish in north-west Buckinghamshire, England. The village is beside the River Great Ouse, which bounds the parish to the north, west and south. Turweston is the most northwesterly parish in Buckinghamshire: the Ouse here forms the county boundary with Northamptonshire to the north and west and Oxfordshire to the south. Across the river, the Northamptonshire market town of Brackley is just west of Turweston, with the town centre about west of the village.
