Tuross Head, New South Wales
Tuross Head is a seaside village on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated approximately halfway between the townships of Moruya and Narooma, a few kilometres off the Princes Highway. As of the 2016 census, Tuross Head had a population of 2,241 people. This quiet, seaside community is located on a headland that juts out into the Tasman Sea, connected to the mainland by a thin isthmus. Coila Lake is located to the north, with Tuross Lake and Tuross River to the south, effectively surrounding the headland with water. The two lakes provide a safe environment for water-based activities; there is the opportunity for sailing on Coila Lake and for restricted water skiing in the Tuross Lake broadwater. Electoral District Of Bega
Bega is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is represented by Michael Holland of the Labor Party. Bega is a regional electorate in the southeastern corner of the state. It encompasses the entirety of Bega Valley Shire and Eurobodalla Shire. Its population centres include Bega, Tathra, Merimbula, Eden, Bemboka, Eurobodalla Shire, Moruya, Batemans Bay and Narooma. Eva Theresa Mylott (27 February 1875 – 20 March 1920) was an Australian contralto opera singer. Early life Eva Mylott was born in Tuross Head, New South Wales. Her parents, Patrick Mylott (1838-1899), an importer of wine and spirits and Mary Heffernan (1839-1931) (the daughter of Edmund and Honora Heffernan), were Irish Roman Catholics who settled in the Colony of New South Wales.
