Tulio Hernández Gómez
Tulio Hernández Gómez (26 May 1938 – 16 September 2023) was a Mexican politician who belonged to the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Born in the city of Tlaxcala, he served two terms in the Chamber of Deputies ( for the first district of Tlaxcala, and 1997–2000 as a plurinominal deputy), as borough chief of Azcapotzalco from 1976 to 1979, and as governor of Tlaxcala from 1981 to 1987. From 1982 to 1995, he was married to the actress Silvia Pinal Silvia Pinal Hidalgo (12September 193128November 2024) was a Mexican actress. The governor of Tlaxcala is the position representing the complete executive power of the government of the Mexico, Mexican state of Tlaxcala, per the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Tlaxcala. The governor is elected for a period of six years, and cannot be re-elected for any reason. The term of office begins on January 15 and ends on January 14, six years later. Elections are held 1 year prior to President of Mexico, presidential elections. To be elected, the candidate must be a natural-born citizen of Mexico, at least 30 years of age, and a resident of Tlaxcala for at least 5 years prior to the election. Electoral Regions Of Mexico
The electoral regions (''circunscripciones electorales'') of Mexico are geographic areas composed of various states used for the election of the 200 proportional representation legislators to the Chamber of Deputies. The country is split into five separate regions. Each of the five regions elects 40 deputies, who are selected according to party lists in the regions. To distinguish them from those elected in the 300 single-member constituencies, they are often referred to as " plurinominal deputies". In contrast, the 32 senators-at-large elected to the Senate by the principle of proportional representation are drawn from party lists covering the entire country; the electoral regions therefore play no role in Senate elections. Azcapotzalco ( ; ; from ''wikt:azcapotzalli, āzcapōtzalli'' “anthill” + ''wikt:-co, -co'' “place”; literally, “In the place of the anthills”) is a Boroughs of Mexico City, borough (''demarcación territorial'') in Mexico City. Azcapotzalco is in the northwestern part of Mexico City. The town began in the pre-Hispanic era and was the seat of the Tepanec dominion until the Aztec Triple Alliance overthrew it. After that it was a rural farming area becoming part of the Federal District of Mexico City in the mid-19th century. In the 20th century the area was engulfed by the urban sprawl of Mexico City.
