Tucker Durkin
Tucker Durkin (born September 5, 1990 in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania) is an American retired professional lacrosse player. Durkin played lacrosse collegiately at Johns Hopkins University. There he won the division 1 defenseman of the year award twice consecutively in 2012 and 2013. He was inducted into the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024. He was drafted third overall to the Hamilton Nationals, who later became the Florida Launch in Major League Lacrosse. He then joined the Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, founded in 2019, retiring after the 2023 season. He played for the United States men's national lacrosse team twice, at the 2014 tournament and the 2018 tournament, winning the tournament best defenseman award and the 2018 championship. Hamilton Nationals
The Hamilton Nationals were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They began play in the 2009 season in Toronto, Ontario as the Toronto Nationals, becoming the first-ever Canadian MLL team. In 2009, they played their home games at BMO Field, which is also home to Major League Soccer's Toronto FC but moved to the smaller Lamport Stadium for the 2010 season. The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is a professional field lacrosse league in the United States. The league comprises eight teams. Its inaugural season debuted on June 1, 2019, and included a 14-week tour-based schedule taking place in 12 major-market cities. The league was founded by the American professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil. Investors include the Chernin Group, the Raine Group and Joseph Tsai. Loyola Greyhounds Men's Lacrosse
The Loyola Greyhounds men's lacrosse team represents Loyola University Maryland in NCAA Division I lacrosse. Its home matches are played at the Ridley Athletic Complex. Charley Toomey has served as its head coach since 2006. It became a member of the Patriot League along with the university's other intercollegiate athletic programs on July 1, 2013. The Greyhounds were a member of the ECAC Lacrosse League from 2005 to 2013. It became the first member of the conference to win a national championship in 2012. The Manhattan Jaspers are composed of 19 teams representing Manhattan University in intercollegiate athletics. Dave Pietramala (born 1967) is the defensive coordinator for the University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team and the former head coach for the Johns Hopkins University Men's Lacrosse team. He also served as the DC for the Syracuse University Men's Lacrosse team. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensemen in lacrosse history, and is a member of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He is the only person to win a men's lacrosse NCAA national championship as both a player and coach, and the only person to be named both player and coach of the year. The Drexel Dragons men's lacrosse team represents Drexel University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse.
