Tscherim Soobzokov
Tscherim "Tom" Soobzokov (; ) (24 August 1924 – 6 September 1985) was a Circassian spy, American politician, SS Obersturmführer, and Nazi fugitive. He rose to prominence in the New Jersey Democratic Party and the Circassian community in Paterson, New Jersey. During the Cold War, Soobzokov served the CIA as an anti-Soviet operative. Soobzokov came to national attention in the United States with the publication of Howard Blum's ''Wanted! The Search for Nazis in America'' in 1977, and his subsequent appearance on PBS NewsHour. He was accused of collaborating with Nazi Germany during the invasion of the Soviet Union's North Caucasus before coming to the United States. In 1985, Soobzokov was murdered by a pipe bomb at his house. The Jewish Defense League claimed responsibility for the murder. __NOTOC__ (, ; short: ''Ostuf'') was a Nazi Germany paramilitary ranks, Nazi Germany paramilitary rank that was used in several Nazi organisations, such as the Sturmabteilung, SA, Schutzstaffel, SS, National Socialist Motor Corps, NSKK and the National Socialist Flyers Corps, NSFK. The rank of ''Obersturmführer'' was first created in 1932 as the result of an expansion of the ''Sturmabteilung'' (SA) and the need for an additional rank in the officer corps. ''Obersturmführer'' also became an Ranks and insignia of the Schutzstaffel, SS rank at that same time. An SA-''Obersturmführer'' was typically a junior company commander in charge of fifty to a hundred men. Robert Roe
Robert Aloysius Roe (February 28, 1924 – July 15, 2014) was an American Democratic Party politician who represented New Jersey in the United States House of Representatives from November 4, 1969 to January 3, 1993. Early life and education Roe was born in Lyndhurst, New Jersey on February 28, 1924, and raised in Wayne, New Jersey. He graduated from Pompton Lakes High School and attended college at Oregon State University in Corvallis and Washington State University in Pullman. Early career During World War II, Roe served in the United States Army. Roe served as a committeeman of Wayne from 1955 to 1956 and became the Mayor of Wayne Township in 1956, serving in that capacity until 1961. The Russian Liberation Army (; , ), also known as the Vlasov army () was a collaborationist formation, primarily composed of Russians, that fought under German command during World War II. From January 1945, the army was led by Andrey Vlasov, a Red Army general who had defected, and members of the army are often referred to as ''Vlasovtsy'' (). In 1944, it became known as the Armed Forces of the Committee for the Liberation of the Peoples of Russia (, abbreviated as ). Vlasov agreed to collaborate with Nazi Germany after having been captured on the Eastern Front. The Nazi War Crimes and Japanese Imperial Government Records Interagency Working Group is a Federal government of the United States, United States government interagency group, which is tasked with locating, identifying, inventorying, and recommending for declassification Classified information, classified U.S. records relating to German war crimes, Nazi German and Imperial Japanese war crimes. The group was created by the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act (NWCDA), passed in 1998, and the Japanese Imperial Government Disclosure Act of 2000 (JIGDA). North Caucasian And Mountain-Caucasian Legions
The North Caucasian Legion () and the Mountain-Caucasian Legion () legions were created in accordance with the order of 19 February 1942. Initially, its soldiers, recruited from the camps of prisoners of war, deserters, and partly from representatives of emigration were included in the Caucasian-Mohammedan Legion (). On 2 August 1942, in accordance with the order of 19 February 1942, all fighters of Muslim North Caucasian and Mountain Caucasian (both Muslims and Christians) origin were separated from the ''Caucasian-Mohamedan Legion'' into separate ''North Caucasian / Mountain-Caucasian'' legions. These Legions consisted of Abkhazians, Circassians, Kabardians, Balkars, Karachays, Chechens, Ingushes, and the peoples of Dagestan. The Kurds, Talyshs and North Ossetians appeared later.
