Trần Mạnh Tuấn
Trần Mạnh Tuấn (born May 7, 1970 in Hanoi) is one of the two most prominent jazz Saxophone, saxophonists in Vietnam (the other being Quyền Văn Minh, also from Hanoi). In 2002, he moved from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and has taught at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory. He is also a composer, arranger and producer. He is from a musical family; his father, mother, and sister are all performers of ''cải lương'', a traditional musical theater form of southern Vietnam. He began playing the saxophone in 1979 and is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. He has released five solo CDs and has performed and recorded with several Vietnamese pop singers. He is also known for his interpretations of the songs of Trịnh Công Sơn. Don Grusin
Donald Henri Grusin (born April 22, 1941) is an American jazz keyboardist, composer, and record producer. He is the younger brother of Dave Grusin. Career Don Grusin grew up in Littleton, Colorado. His father, a native of Latvia, was a classical violinist. His brother, Dave Grusin, is a pianist, record producer, and co-founder of GRP Records. Grusin graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in economics. In the early 1970s, he was an economics professor in Guadalajara, Mexico. Soon after, he taught economics at Foothill College in California. Grusin performed in Bogota, Colombia, as a member of Azteca, a Latin jazz fusion band led by Pete Escovedo that included Escovedo's daughter, drummer Sheila E. A jazz club is a venue where the primary entertainment is the performance of live jazz music, although some jazz clubs primarily focus on the study and/or promotion of jazz-music. Jazz clubs are usually a type of nightclub or bar, which is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages. Dana Leong is a 2011 Latin Grammy Award Winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, US Ambassador of Music, adventurer, philanthropist & entrepreneur from the San Francisco Bay Area, who is known for mixing elements of traditional instruments such as his electric cello and trombone with electronic music and visuals. John Roger Ferguson (born October 20, 1978) is an American musician. He is currently a member of The Apples in Stereo, and he was a founding member of Big Fresh. His father, Roger Ferguson, was an associate of underground DIY figure R. Stevie Moore, and John appeared on Moore's recordings and radio shows by age three. During his freshman year of college, Ferguson teamed up with Ben Fulton and Bryan Gore to form Big Fresh in 1998. The band – with various lineup changes – recorded three albums. In 2002, Ferguson met Robert Schneider of The Apples in Stereo, and they formed Ulysses.
