Troy Rosario
Jeth Troy Utanes Rosario (born January 20, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). College and amateur career Rosario played for two years at Technological Institute of the Philippines. He left TIP to focus on his stint for the RP Youth Team then-coached by NU Bulldogs coach Eric Altamirano. Then he suited for the NU Bulldogs after transferring from Technological Institute of the Philippines, TIP. In his final season with the Bulldogs, he averaged 12.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, as his team made history by winning their UAAP Season 77, first championship since 1954. After his college career was over, Rosario suited up for the Hapee Fresh Fighters in the PBA Developmental League, PBA D-League, where he teamed up with fellow college standouts and future draft batchmates Chris Newsome, Baser Amer, Scottie Thompson (basketball), Scottie Thompson and Garvo Lanete. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel
The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The most popular team in the league, it is owned by Ginebra San Miguel, Ginebra San Miguel, Inc. (formerly, La Tondeña Distillers, Inc.), a subsidiary of the San Miguel Corporation (SMC). The team is one of three PBA ball clubs currently owned by the SMC group of companies, along with Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and the San Miguel Beermen. Barangay Ginebra has won 15 PBA championships, the second most overall. La Tondeña, Inc. (renamed, La Tondeña Distillers, Inc., after SMC acquired majority control in 1987) joined the PBA in 1979 as an expansion team. After some rough times during their first few seasons, their fortunes changed when veterans Robert Jaworski and Francis Arnaiz arrived in 1984, following the disbandment of the famed Toyota Tamaraws.
