A cave dweller, or troglodyte, is a human who inhabits a cave or the area beneath the overhanging rocks of a cliff. Prehistory Some Prehistory, prehistoric humans were cave dwellers, but most were not (''see'' ''Homo'' and Human evolution). Such early cave dwellers, and other prehistoric peoples, are also called ''cave men'' (the term also refers to the stereotypical "caveman" stock character type from fiction and popular culture). ''Sea Beast'', also known as ''Troglodyte'', is a 2008 American television monster movie starring Miriam McDonald, Daniel Wisler, Brandon Jay McLaren and Corin Nemec. It is the sixteenth film in the ''Maneater'' film series and it was released on DVD on June 30, 2009. Plot Will is fishing with his crew in a thunderstorm. As they try to pull the fishing net in, a wave hits the ship, and one crew member, Joey, is suddenly spat in the face, attacked, dragged into the sea, and killed by an invisible creature. The mysterious creature attaches itself to the bottom of the boat. Back at the village, a funeral is held for Joey. Will finds slime on his boat where Joey was taken. Morlocks
Morlocks are one of the two fictional species of post-humans created by H. G. Wells for his 1895 novel ''The Time Machine'' (the other being the Eloi). The origin of the names is not established (with regard to Wells' inspiration or inspirations). In the Wells' story, the Morlocks are the novel's main antagonists. Since their creation by Wells, Morlock characters have appeared in many other works, including sequels, films, television shows, as well as in works by other authors (many of which deviate from the original description). ''Bone Tomahawk'' is a 2015 American Western horror film written and directed by S. Craig Zahler in his directorial debut, and starring Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins, Lili Simmons, Evan Jonigkeit, David Arquette, Zahn McClarnon and Sid Haig. Caveman
The caveman is a stock character representative of primitive humans in the Paleolithic. The popularization of the type dates to the early 20th century, when Neanderthals were influentially described as " simian" or " ape-like" by Marcellin Boule and Arthur Keith. The Troglodytae (, ''Trōglodytai''), or Troglodyti (literally "cave goers"), were people mentioned in various locations by many ancient Greek and Roman geographers and historians, including Herodotus (5th century BCE), Agatharchides (2nd century BCE), Diodorus Siculus (1st century BCE), Strabo (64/63 BCE – c. 24 CE), Pliny (1st century CE), Josephus (37 – c. 100 CE), Tacitus (c. 56 – after 117 CE), Claudius Aelianus (c. 175 CE – c. 235 CE), Porphyry (c. 234 CE – c. 305 CE).
