Thiruvananthapuram District () is the List of districts of Kerala, southernmost district in the States and union territories of India, Indian state of Kerala. Vizhinjam International Seaport Thiruvananthapuram (, ), also known as Port of Trivandrum is India's first deep-water Entrepôt, transshipment port. Located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, the port is designed to be a multi-purpose, all-weather, green port and is about from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. It is India's first automated port, and its only port directly adjacent to an international shipping lane. The Niyamasabha Mandiram, located in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram, is the seat of the Kerala State Legislative Assembly or the Niyamasabha. Kanakakkunnu Palace is situated in Thiruvananthapuram near the Napier museum, India. It served as an official residence for Sir C.P.
