Trinity Railway Express
The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) is a commuter rail service in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, Texas, United States. It was established by an interlocal agreement between Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Trinity Metro. Each transit authority owns a 50% stake in the joint rail project and contractor Herzog Transit Services operates the line. The TRE began operating in December 1996. In , the system had a ridership of , or about per weekday as of , making it the List of United States commuter rail systems by ridership, seventeenth most-ridden commuter rail system in the United States. EMD F59PH
The EMD F59PH is a four-axle AAR wheel arrangement#B-B, B-B Diesel-electric transmission, diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Diesel, Electro-Motive Division from 1988 to 1994. A variant, the F59PHI, was produced from 1994 to 2001. The F59PH was originally built for GO Transit commuter operation in the Toronto region. Metrolink (California), Metrolink in Southern California also purchased a fleet for its 1992 launch. The streamlined F59PHI was designed for Amtrak California intercity service. The President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) is a controlled-access toll road running through the northern, northeastern and western suburbs, forming a partial beltway around Dallas, Texas, United States. It is named for the late George H. W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States. At its west end near Belt Line Road in Irving, State Highway 161 (SH 161) continues southwest to I-20 in Grand Prairie. Interstate 35E (I-35E), a north–south Interstate Highway, is the eastern half of Interstate 35 in Texas, I-35, where it splits to serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. West Irving Station
West Irving station is a Trinity Railway Express commuter rail and bus station in Irving, Texas. It is located at Jackson Street near Esters Road and served Irving Mall with connecting bus service to Las Colinas Las Colinas is a mixed-use planned community development in Irving, Texas governed by The Las Colinas Association, a Texas nonprofit corporation. Due to its central location in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and proximity to Dallas/Fort Wor ... and North Lake College. It opened on November 13, 2000.
