Trevor Baxter
Trevor Baxter (18 November 1932 – 16 July 2017) was a British actor and playwright. He is possibly best remembered for playing Professor George Litefoot in the ''Doctor Who'' story ''The Talons of Weng-Chiang'', and the subsequent audio spinoff '' Jago & Litefoot''. Early years A postal worker's son, Baxter was born in Lewisham, London, England, and was educated at Dulwich College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. ''Jago & Litefoot'' is a Big Finish Productions audio drama based on the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It stars Christopher Benjamin and Trevor Baxter as Henry Gordon Jago and Professor George Litefoot, their characters from the 1977 TV story ''The Talons of Weng-Chiang''. The duo’s first appearance after ''The Talons of Weng-Chiang'' was in the 2009 audio play '' The Mahogany Murderers'', an entry in the Companion Chronicles range of audio plays. This effectively acted as a pilot for the series. Thirteen series of ''Jago & Litefoot'' were released between 2010 and 2017, along with a handful of special releases and, in 2021, a fourteenth series adapting episodes originally planned before Baxter's death. Lewisham
Lewisham ( ) is an area of southeast London, England, south of Charing Cross. It is the principal area of the London Borough of Lewisham, and was within the Historic counties of England, historic county of Kent until 1889. ''An Englishman Abroad'' is a 1983 BBC television drama film based on the true story of a chance meeting of actress Coral Browne with Guy Burgess, a member of the Cambridge spy ring who spied for the Soviet Union while an officer at MI6. ''Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow'' (often shortened to ''Sky Captain'') is a 2004 science fiction action-adventure film written and directed by Kerry Conran in his directorial debut, and produced by Jon Avnet, Sadie Frost, Jude Law and Marsha Oglesby. Sir Ralph David Richardson (19 December 1902 – 10 October 1983) was an English actor who, with John Gielgud and Laurence Olivier, was one of the trinity of male actors who dominated the British stage for much of the 20th century. He worked in films throughout most of his career, and played more than sixty cinema roles. From an artistic but not theatrical background, Richardson had no thought of a stage career until a production of ''Hamlet'' in Brighton inspired him to become an actor.
