Toronto Lady Lynx
Toronto Lady Lynx was a Canadian women's association football, soccer team, founded in 2005. The team was a member of the USL W-League, formerly the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada. The team played in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference against teams from Laval Comets, Laval, London Gryphons, London, Ottawa Fury Women, Ottawa, Quebec City Arsenal, Quebec City and K-W United FC (W-League), Waterloo. The team played its home games at various stadiums around the city of Toronto, Ontario: primarily at Centennial Park Stadium, but also at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan, Ontario as well as Oshawa Civic Auditorium in Oshawa, Ontario. Centennial Park Stadium
Centennial Park Stadium is a 2,200 seat capacity stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is primarily used for soccer, track and field, football and occasionally for kabaddi. The park is also used for the ROPSSAA football finals and the PSAA (Private Schools Athletic Association) on the first Monday of May for an annual Track and Field Meet. The stadium is named for the city park it is located in, which opened during Canada's centennial year of 1967; the stadium was opened in 1975, eight years after the centennial. It is located within Centennial Park in the Etobicoke district, just south of Toronto Pearson International Airport and near the intersection of Rathburn Road and Renforth Drive. Jonelle Filigno (born September 24, 1990) is a Canadian soccer player who last played for Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League. Clare Ada Rustad (born May 27, 1983) is a Canadian former soccer midfielder. Her last club was the Toronto Lady Lynx in 2010. She played for Canada women's national soccer team between 2000 and 2008, making 45 appearances and scoring three goals. Playing career Club Rustad played collegiate soccer for the University of Washington between 2001 and 2004, and professionally for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. She is a distinguished alumnus of Gordon Head Soccer Association. International Rustad competed for the Canada national under-19 soccer team at the 2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship, winning the silver medal. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Alyscha Mottershead (born May 2, 1991) is a Canadian former football player. Life and career Mottershead was born in Orangeville, Ontario, but was raised in Brampton. She played for Syracuse University, recording 74 matches played with 10 goals scored. At the club level, Mottershead played for SC Sand at the German 2. Bundesliga.
