Tony Young (born 1966) is an American politician. He was the president of the city council of San Diego, California, and served as a member of the council from 2005 to 2013, representing District 4. He is a Democrat, although the position is officially nonpartisan per California state law. San Diego's fourth council district includes the following communities: Alta Vista, Broadway Heights, Chollas View, Emerald Hills, Jamacha, Lincoln Park, Lomita Village, Mt. Hope, Mt. View, North Bay Terrace, North Encanto, Oak Park, O'Farrell, Paradise Hills, Ridgeview, South Encanto, Skyline Hills, South Bay Terrace, Valencia Park, and Webster. Carleton Leonard Young (June 28, 1937 – February 26, 2002) was an American film and television actor. He was known for playing Cord in the American western television series ''Gunslinger''. Life and career Young was born Carleton Leonard Young in New York, the son of Barbara Davis and Carleton G. Young, a film, radio and television actor. He and his family moved to Hollywood, California in 1943. He attended University High School, Fairfax High School, and Los Angeles City College, where he learned about drama and play management. He served in the United States Air Force. While serving, Young worked for the American Forces Network, as he directed, produced and wrote for the broadcast service. After being discharged, he was under contract for the 20th Century Studios. Tony Young (born 1961), professionally known as Master T, is a Canadian television and radio personality and urban music promoter. He was born in Leeds, England, and moved to Canada with his Jamaican family in 1974. Early life and education He was raised in Kitchener, Ontario, where he attended Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School and met his future wife. He later studied television broadcasting at Mohawk College in Hamilton. Career at MuchMusic He found work as a camera operator at MuchMusic before he and his wife created the Black Music program, ''X-Tendamix'' (later "Da Mix").
