Tomás Mac Eoin
Tomás Mac Eoin (born 1937) is an Irish sean-nós singer, actor, songwriter and poet. Also known as Tomás McKeown, he is from An Bóthar Buí in An Cheathrú Rua, Conamara, Galway, Ireland. Known for his old-style or sean-nós singing, he was voted the best sean-nós singer in Ireland in 1967 at the Oireachtas competitions and won Corn Uí Riada. He appeared on The Waterboys's ''Fisherman's Blues'' album (1988). He was a regular singer on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and also performed on '' The Late Late Show'' several times. Carraroe (in Irish, and officially, , meaning 'the red quarter') is a village in Connemara, the coastal Irish-speaking region (Gaeltacht) of County Galway, Ireland. It is known for its traditional fishing boats, the Galway Hookers. Its population is widely dispersed over the Carraroe peninsula between ''Cuan an Fhir Mhóir'' (Greatman's Bay) and ''Cuan Chasla'' (Casla Bay). RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (; "Radio of the Gaeltacht"), abbreviated RnaG, is an Irish language radio station owned and operated by Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). The station is available on FM in Ireland and via satellite and on the internet. In 2022, Raidio na Gaeltachta celebrated its 50th year in broadcasting. Michael Scott (born 14 December 1958) is a Scottish singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the founding member, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of rock band The Waterboys. He has also produced two solo albums, ''Bring 'Em All In'' and ''Still Burning''. Scott is a Singing, vocalist, guitarist and pianist, and has played a large range of other instruments, including the bouzouki, Drum kit, drums, and Hammond organ on his albums.
