Tommy Söderström (born July 17, 1969) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey goaltender. Career He played in 156 National Hockey League (NHL) games with the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders over parts of five seasons. He also played for Djurgårdens IF Hockey, Djurgårdens IF, with which he won three List of Swedish ice hockey champions, Swedish Championships. In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring.
