Tommy Lloyd
Tommy Lloyd (born December 21, 1974) is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach at the University of Arizona of the Big 12 Conference. His 61 wins in the first two seasons are the most for any head coach in NCAA Division I history. In the summer of 2024, he was the head coach of the United States men's national under-19 basketball team at the 2024 FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup in Buenos Aires. Lloyd continued his role in 2025 as the USA basketball men's U–19 coach and will coach at the 2025 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Lausanne. Playing career Born and raised in Kelso, Washington, Lloyd graduated from Kelso High School in 1993. The Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team is the college basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Kelso High School is a public high school in Kelso, Washington, United States. History In 1905, the first Kelso High School (then known as Washington School) classes began with the first seniors graduating in 1909. Thirteen years later, a new high school was built, known as Kelso High School, in 1922. The first year the high school was accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools was in 1927. The school was moved to its current location after a new school was built in 1970. The original Kelso High School was torn down in 1987. The 2024 FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup was the 13th edition of the FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup, a biennial international under-18 basketball tournament. The FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup, previously known as the FIBA Under-18 Americas Championship, is the Americas basketball championship for men's under-18 national teams that takes place every two years in the FIBA Americas zone. The top four finishers qualify for the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup. Qualification USA and Canada participate in the Under-18 AmeriCup without playing qualifiers.
