Tomislav Simović
Tomislav Simović (Serbian Cyrillic: Томислав Симовић; born 1933) is a retired Lieutenant colonel general of the Yugoslav People's Army and independent politician. He served as the Serbian Minister of Defence from 31 July 1991 to 23 December 1991. Simović served as a career officer in the Yugoslav People' Army (JNA), attaining the rank of Lieutenant colonel general. He commanded the JNA Third military region headquartered in Skopje, SR Macedonia before replacing Commander Miodrag Jokić as Serbia's Minister of Defence in the cabinet of Dragutin Zelenović. Serbian Army
The Serbian Army () is the land-based and the largest component of the Serbian Armed Forces. Its organization, composition, weapons and equipment are adapted to the assigned missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces, primarily for operations on land. It is subordinated to the Serbian Ministry of Defense. History Originally established in 1830 as the Army of Principality of Serbia and after Serbia's independence it subsequently grew in size and was renamed the Royal Serbian Army. Cabinet Of Dragutin Zelenović
After the absolute victory of the Socialists in the Parliamentary Election, Dragutin Zelenović of the Socialist Party of Serbia was elected Prime Minister of Serbia by the Parliament on 15 January 1991. On 11 February, his cabinet was formed and elected by the Serbian National Assembly. Zelenović eventually lost support from the party leadership and resigned, causing the new Government to be formed on 23 December 1991.
