Tokia Saïfi
Tokia Afféda Saïfi (born 11 July 1959 in Hautmont, Nord (French department), Nord) is a French politician who served as Member of the European Parliament for the North-West of France from 1999 until 2019. She is a member of the Radical Party (France), Radical party and of the Union for a Popular Movement, part of the European People's Party. She is a former member of Ecology Generation. Political career Saïfi was first elected as Member of the European Parliament in the 1999 European Parliament election in France, 1999 elections. During her first term in parliament, she first served on the European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Alain Marie Juppé (; born 15 August 1945) is a French politician. A member of The Republicans, he was Prime Minister of France from 1995 to 1997 under President Jacques Chirac, during which period he faced major strikes that paralysed the country and became very unpopular. The Republicans held a presidential primary election, officially called the open primary of the right and centre (), to select a candidate for the 2017 presidential election. It took place on 20 November 2016, with a runoff on 27 November since no candidate obtained at least 50% of the vote in the first round. It was the first time an open primary had been held for The Republicans or its predecessor parties.
