Tobias Santelmann
Tobias Santelmann (born August 8, 1980) is a German-born Norwegian actor. He is best known for starring in the Academy Award-nominated film '' Kon-Tiki'' (2012). He has also had supporting roles in the films '' Hercules'' (2014) and '' Point Break'' (2015). He starred in the TV crime drama Grenseland and the television series '' The Last Kingdom'' (2015–2018) as well as in '' Those Who Kill'' (2021). Early life Santelmann was born in Freiburg, Germany. He moved with his family to Norway when he was one year old. He grew up in the far south of Norway in Lindesnes and then later moved to Oslo when he was 16 years old. Career Since graduating from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2006, Santelmann worked at The Norwegian Theatre in Oslo. ''Mordene i Kongo'', theatrically as Congo, is a 2018 Norwegian crime film directed by Marius Holst and co-produced by Christian Fredrik Martin and Asle Vatn with South African producer Marlow De Mardt. The film stars Aksel Hennie and Tobias Santelmann in lead roles whereas Ine F. Jansen, Dennis Storhøi, Tone Danielsen and Anthony Oseyemi made supportive roles. Knut Magne Haugland, DSO, MM, (23 September 1917 – 25 December 2009) was a resistance fighter and noted explorer from Norway, who accompanied Thor Heyerdahl on his famous 1947 '' Kon-Tiki'' expedition. Early life and World War II Haugland, born in 1917 in Rjukan, Telemark, Norway, took his examen artium in 1937 qualifying him for university study. In 1938 he enrolled in military radio studies and afterward joined the Norwegian Army. In February 1940 he was stationed in Setermoen, and soon fought in battles near Narvik as a part of the Norwegian Campaign against Germany.
