Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship, formerly Séamus Ó Riain Cup, (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 2017 for the second tier hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the spring, summer and autumn months with the cup final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. It is sometimes played as the curtain-raiser to the senior final. The prize for the winning team is the Séamus Ó Riain Cup. The cup begins with a group stage and is followed by a knock-out stage. Roscrea are the title-holders after defeating Gortnahoe-Glengoole by 1-17 to 0-16 in the 2022 cup final. 2024 Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2024 Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the eighth staging of the Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary County Board in 2017 and subsequent rebranding in 2022. The draws for the group stage pairings took place on 18 April 2024. The competition ran from 26 July to 13 October 2024. The #Final, final was played on 13 October 2024 at Semple Stadium, FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles, between Cashel King Cormacs GAA, Cashel King Cormacs and Carrick Swans GAA, Carrick Swans, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Moneygall GAA
Moneygall GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in County Tipperary in Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the North Tipperary divisional championships, although the club is mainly known for hurling. The club represents the parish of Dunkerrin, which includes the villages of Moneygall, Dunkerrin and Barna. The Tipperary-Offaly county boundary runs through the parish. History In 1885, a local team called The Honeymounts was formed, named after the townland of Honeymount within the parish. This club's colours were black and amber. Holycross–Ballycahill GAA is a Gaelic games club in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. Cashel King Cormacs GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. They play their games in Leahy Park, on the Clonmel Road in Cashel. The club is named for the king-bishop Cormac Mac Cárthaigh (d. 1138). Extensive work has been carried out in the last few years, with the addition of a new clubhouse and main stand the highlight. Templederry Kenyons GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Templederry. History Templederry affiliated as a club in 1887 with FR J. Frost C.C. and James Coughlan of Latteragh the leading organisers. However, from 1906 to the end of the 1920s the club had very little success. In 1931, a re-united Templederry parish team reached the North Tipperary Intermediate hurling final for the first time and had a comprehensive 7–4 to 3–3 victory over Roscrea. Templederry then went up to Senior but were unable to make the breakthrough and returned to Intermediate ranks in the late 1930s. Lorrha–Dorrha GAA
Lorrha–Dorrha GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the Ecclesiastical parish, parish of "Lorrha & Dorrha". The club is most famous for GAA Hurling Team of the Millennium, Hurling Team of the Millennium goalkeeper Tony Reddin, who played with the club from 1947 to 1957.
