Tindra Sjöberg
Tindra Sjöberg (born 3 February 2000) is a Swedish freestyle wrestler competing in the 68 kg weight class. Career Sjöberg won a bronze medal at the 2023 U23 European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest, competing in the women's 72 kg event. Later that year, she claimed another bronze in the 68 kg event at the 2023 U23 World Wrestling Championships held in Tirana. The 2023 U23 World Wrestling Championships was the sixth edition of the U23 World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held from 23 to 29 October 2023 in Tirana, Albania. United World Wrestling (UWW) authorized some Russian wrestlers to participate in the World Championships though they had participated in the pro-war rally and expressed their support for the Russo-Ukrainian war. The women's freestyle 68 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2023 U23 World Wrestling Championships, and will held in Tirana, Albania on 25 and 26 October 2023. The 2023 European U23 Wrestling Championships was the 8th edition of the European U23 Wrestling Championships of combined events, and it was held from 13 to 19 March in Bucharest, Romania. Incidents The Azerbaijani wrestler, Rahim Hasanov, hit the Armenian athlete, Karapet Manvelyan, in the face after losing in the quarter-finals of the championship, when the latter was reaching out to him for a handshake. The International Wrestling Federation disqualified Hasanov for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The 2025 European Wrestling Championships was held from 7 to 13 April 2025 in Bratislava, Slovakia. At the 2025 European Championships, in accordance with sanctions imposed following by the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, wrestlers from Russia and Belarus were not permitted to use the name, flag, or anthem of Russia or Belarus.
