Time Busters
''Time Busters'' is a British children's television series created by Tim Child and the same producers of '' Knightmare''. It was first shown on BBC2 from 17 January 1993 to 22 January 1995. Format Each run of the game involves a team of children taking a ' time-travelling' bus that drove you to a historical reenactment. The children would be involved in a quest to find a Time-Capsule. This challenge would be a race against the clock to succeed and each episode would result in the team being successful, or having to abandon their attempt due to running out of time. Regardless the episode would conclude in the children quickly returning to the bus before it disappeared from that era. Tim Child (born 1946) is a British television producer. A former TV news reporter and later development producer at Anglia Television, he is most notable for creating and producing the cult children's television programme '' Knightmare'', a fantasy role-playing adventure game which pioneered virtual studio or blue-screen production. BBC Genome Project
The BBC Genome Project is an online searchable database of programme listings initially based upon the contents of the ''Radio Times'' from the first issue in 1923 to 2009. Television listings from post-2009 can be accessed via the BBC Programmes site. History Prior BBC Genome is not the BBC's first online searchable database. In April 2006, they gave the public access to Infax – their only electronic programme database at the time. It contained around 900,000 entries but not every programme ever broadcast, and it ceased operation in December 2007. The front page of the website is still available to see via the Internet Archive. After Infax ceased, a message on the website said that it would be incorporating in the information into individual programme pages. In 2012, Infax was replaced by the database Fabric but this is only for internal use within the BBC. Historical reenactment (or re-enactment) is an educational entertainment, educational or entertainment activity in which mainly amateur hobbyists and history enthusiasts dress in historical uniforms and follow a plan to recreate aspects of a historical event or period.
