Tianjin–Weifang–Yantai High-speed Railway
Tianjin–Weifang–Yantai high-speed railway is a high-speed railway currently under construction in China. The railway will have a design speed of . Weifang–Yantai section of the railway is expected to open in 2024. History On June 29, 2020, the feasibility study for the section from Weifang to Yantai was approved. The feasibility study for the section from Binhai railway station in Tianjin to Weifang was approved in January 2022. Construction of Tianjin–Weifang section started on 6 November 2022. Binhai Railway Station
Binhai railway station (), formerly Yujiapu railway station, is an underground railway station located in Binhai, Tianjin, People's Republic of China. It is the southern terminus of the Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway and serves the Yujiapu Financial District, an area with many new skyscrapers. It is considered one of the four main rail transportation hubs for Tianjin with Tianjin, Tianjin West and Binhai West railway station. It is to be served by the Tianjin Metro lines B1 and Z4. History The station's construction started on February 27, 2009, was completed on August 8, 2015 and it was opened to traffic on September 20, 2015. The name of station was changed from Yujiapu to Binhai on January 5, 2019. Simultaneously, another station that was previously named Binhai had its name changed to Binhai West. Qingdao–Rongcheng intercity railway is a high-speed railway located in China's, Shandong Province. It travels along the Shandong Peninsula connecting to Qingdao and Rongcheng. Zhifu District is an urban district of the prefecture-level city of Yantai in Shandong Province, China. Name As a separate city, Zhifu's name was variously romanized as Chefoo, and . Jinan–Qingdao High-speed Railway
The Jinan–Qingdao high-speed railway or Jiqing high-speed railway is a high-speed railway between Qingdao and Jinan, the two main cities of Shandong province. Qingdao and Jinan were already served by two double-track lines consisting of the high-speed Qingdao–Jinan Passenger Railway and the conventional Qingdao–Jinan Railway. The new railway is a part of the Qingdao–Yinchuan corridor, one of the 8+8 national high-speed rail gridline, and provides further relief to rail transport between Qingdao and Jinan. Planning was approved by the NDRC on June 10, 2014 with construction starting a year later. Tracklaying started in 2017 and the whole line was opened on 26 December 2018. The railway shortens travel times between Qingdao and Jinan to 1 hour. This is in contrast to the 2.5 hours needed on the Qingdao–Jinan Passenger Railway and 4 hours on the original conventional Qingdao–Jinan Railway.
