Thomas White (born 30 April 1984) is an English, Brighton-based musician. Along with their brother, Alex White (musician), Alex, they form the nucleus of psych-pop band The Electric Soft Parade. They have released four albums and a six-track EP. They also contributed vocals and guitar to cult Brighton super-group Brakes (band), Brakes, and drums and bass to Restlesslist and Clowwns. Besides performing solo and in their own groups, White regularly appears as a session player for, among others, Patrick Wolf, Sea Power, Levellers (band), Levellers and Sparks (band), Sparks. Early life Educated at Davigdor Infants, Somerhill Juniors and Hove Park School, Hove Park schools, she signed her first record deal (with DB Records) whilst still 16 and studying for her GCSEs. Career June 2008 saw the release of her debut solo album, ''I Dream of Black''. Recorded entirely on cassette four-track, the album was considered extremely lo-fi by both fans and critics alike. Thomas White (c.1550–1624) was an English clergyman, founder of Sion College, London, and of White's professorship of moral philosophy at the University of Oxford. Thomas Fuller in ''Worthies of England'' acquits him of being a pluralist or usurer; he made a number of other bequests, and was noted in his lifetime for charitable gifts. Life The son of John White, a Gloucestershire clothier, he was born about 1550 in Temple Street, Bristol. He entered as student of Magdalen Hall, Oxford, in 1566, graduated B.A. 25 June 1570, M.A. 12 October 1573, took holy orders and became a noted preacher. He moved to London, and was rector of St. Gregory by St. Paul's, a short time before being made vicar of St. Dunstan-in-the-West, 23 November 1575. On 11 December 1581 he received the degree of B.D. and that of D.D., on 8 March 1585. Tom White (born October 26, 1956) is a former member of the unicameral Nebraska Legislature from Omaha, Nebraska. He represented the 8th District, which consists of the Benson and Dundee neighborhoods in Omaha. Born in Columbus, Nebraska, he received his B.A. in philosophy and history from Regis University in 1979. He graduated from Creighton University School of Law in 1983. Thomas White (1667 – 30 September 1732) of Wallingwells, Nottinghamshire, was an English landowner and Whig politician who sat in the English and British House of Commons between 1701 and 1732. Early life and marriage White was the son of John White of Tuxford and his wife Jane Williamson, daughter of Sir Thomas Williamson, Bt. He entered Gray's Inn on 22 July 1685 and was admitted at Christ's College, Cambridge on 14 July 1686. By his marriage, White was responsible for the family eventually settling at Wallingwells. This was the result of losing his way one night. On his way home after a journey, he hoped to make the final leg of the trip from Sheffield to Tuxford in one evening.
