Jesper Thilo
Jesper Thilo (born 28 November 1941) is a Danish jazz musician, mainly known as a tenor saxophonist, alto saxophonist and clarinetist. He is considered to be one of the top European straight-ahead jazz musicians of the post-1970 period. Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins were early influences, while he later developed a highly personal sound reminiscent of Zoot Sims. Thilo first recorded as a leader for Storyville Records in 1973 and in the 1980s on Storyville his sidemen at various times included Kenny Drew, Clark Terry and Harry "Sweets" Edison. In the 1980s, he also played in the Ernie Wilkins's Almost Big Band. Thilo also appears on the Miles Davis album '' Aura'' recorded in 1985. In 1991, he worked with Hank Jones in a quintet. Thilo Sarrazin (born 12 February 1945) is a German politician and former member of the SPD, writer, senator of finance for the State of Berlin from January 2002 until April 2009, former member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank until 2010. He became well known after publishing a controversial book about Muslim immigrants in Germany in 2010. In his book ''Deutschland schafft sich ab'' ('' Germany Abolishes Itself''), he denounces what he sees as the failure of Germany's post-war immigration policy, sparking a nationwide controversy about the costs and benefits of multiculturalism. Anne-Sophie Thilo (born 3 December 1987) is a Swiss former sailor, who specialized in the two-person dinghy (470) class. Together with her partner Emmanuelle Rol, she won a silver medal at the Europeans in Riva del Garda, Italy and was named one of the country's top sailors in the double-handed dinghy for the Summer Olympics a few months later in Beijing, finishing in a lowly seventeenth place. Thilo Thielke (24 January 1968 – 29 October 2020) was a German journalist and writer. Biography In 1985, Thielke was hired as a journalist for the daily newspaper ''Neuve Presse''. After a guest professorship of painting at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg in Hamburg, he was appointed professor of painting at Universität der Künste in Berlin. Thilo Wilke (born 20 June 1991) is a German footballer who most recently played as a midfielder for Norwegian club Alta IF. Career Wilke began playing football at age 5, and in his youth played for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 and Würzburger FV. Thilo Bode (born 14 January 1947) is the founder and International Director of the consumer rights advocacy group Foodwatch, and was previously the CEO of Greenpeace. Career Born in Eching am Ammersee, Germany, Bode is the son of journalist Thilo Bode and a bookseller. Thilo Irmisch
Johann Friedrich Thilo Irmisch (14 January 1816 in Sondershausen – 28 April 1879 in Sondershausen) was a 19th-century German botanist. Irmisch studied theology, philosophy and natural history at the University of Halle-Wittenberg. He received training in botany from professor D. von Schlechtendal, who later became his friend. From 1855, he taught at the high school in Sondershausen. At the same time, he published numerous larger and smaller papers and books on botanical subjects, in particular plant morphology, e.g. ''Beiträge zur vergleichenden Morphologie der Pflanzen'' (Contribution to a comparative morphology of plants), published in six volumes 1854-1878.
