Therese Krones
Therese Krones (7 October 1801 – 28 December 1830) was an Austrian actress. Life and career She was born 7 October 1801 in Bruntál to parents who were engaged in the theatrical business, Franz Josef Krones (1766–1839) and his wife Anna Theresia Walter (* 1770). The actor Josef Krones was her brother. After several provincial tours she appeared at the Leopoldstädter Theater in Vienna, where she played with Ferdinand Raimund, who greatly influenced her technique. In 1821, she made her debut in the play ''Das lustige Trauerspiel Evakathel und Prinz Schnudi oder die Belagerung von Ypsilon'' by Philipp Hafner. In 1827, she retired from the stage for a time, being unjustly accused of complicity in the murder of by . She wrote several plays: ''Sylphide, das See-Fräulein'' (1828), ''Der Branntweinbrenner und der Nebelgeist'' (1829), and ''Kleopatra'' (1830). Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller
Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller (; 15 January 1793 – 23 August 1865) was an Austrian painter and writer. Waldmüller was one of the most important Austrian painters of the Biedermeier period. Career In 1807, Waldmüller attended the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He lived in Bratislava and, in 1811, he worked as a teacher of arts for the children of Count Gyulay in Croatia. He returned to the Academy of Vienna and studied portrait painting. In 1814 he married the singer Katharina Weidner, and subsequently went on tour with her, working as a set designer. In 1817, Waldmüller returned to Vienna and spent much time copying the works of old masters and painting portraits, genre subjects, and still-life. In 1823 he made a portrait of Ludwig van Beethoven. Waldmüller later became interested in nature and started painting landscapes, which in their loving attention to detail illustrate Waldmuller's belief that the close study of nature should be the basis of painting. Bruntál (; german: Freudenthal) is a town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 16,000 inhabitants. It is located in the historical region of Czech Silesia. Ferdinand Raimund (born Ferdinand Jakob Raimann; 1 June 1790 – 5 September 1836, Pottenstein, Lower Austria) was an Austrian actor and dramatist. Life and work He was born in Vienna as a son of Bohemian woodturning master craftsman Jakob Raimann. In 1811, he acted at the Theater in der Josefstadt, and, in 1817 at the Leopoldstädter Theater. In 1823 he produced his first play, ''Der Barometermacher auf der Zauberinsel'', which was followed by ''Der Diamant des Geisterkönigs'' (1824). The still popular ''Bauer als Millionär'' (1826), ''Der Alpenkönig und der Menschenfeind'' (1828) and ''Der Verschwender'' (1834), incidental music by Conradin Kreutzer, are Raimund's masterpieces. Raimund's comedies are still frequently performed in Germany and Austria. When Raimund was bitten by a dog, which he falsely believed to be rabid, he shot himself on 29 August 1836 and died on 5 September 1836 in Pottenstein, aged 46.
