Theis Ørntoft (born 1984 in Aarhus, Denmark) is a Danish writer. He made his name as a poet with two poetry collections: ''Yeahsuiten'' (2009) and ''Digte 2014'' (2014). His first novel ''Solar'' appeared in 2018. Aarhus
Aarhus (, , ; officially spelled Århus from 1948 until 1 January 2011) is the second-largest city in Denmark and the seat of Aarhus municipality, Aarhus Municipality. It is located on the eastern shore of Jutland in the Kattegat sea and approximately northwest of Copenhagen. The European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL), established in 2009, is a European Union literary award. Its aim is to recognise outstanding new literary talents from all over Europe, to promote the circulation and translation of literature amongst European countries, and to highlight the continent's creativity and diversity. About the Award The EUPL is funded by the "Creative Europe" programme, the European Commission framework programme for support to the culture and audiovisual sectors.
