The Spikes Gang
''The Spikes Gang'' is a 1974 American Western film directed by Richard Fleischer and starring Lee Marvin. Produced by the Mirisch Company and based on the novel ''The Bank Robber'' by Giles Tippette, the supporting cast features Gary Grimes, Charles Martin Smith and Ron Howard. Veteran character actors Arthur Hunnicutt and Noah Beery, Jr. both appear in separate " scene-stealing" performances. Plot Harry Spikes (Lee Marvin) is an aging bank robber of the fading Old West. Vincent Canby (July 27, 1924 – October 15, 2000) was an American film and theatre critic who was the chief film critic for ''The New York Times'' from 1969 until the early 1990s, then its chief theatre critic from 1994 until his death in 2000. Pablo García González, known as Tito García (1931–2003) was a Spanish actor. Biography Working as a torero in his youth, he played a minor role in ''Pelusa'' (1961). After this, he intended to dedicate himself to an acting career, and came to be one of the most frequently featured supporting actor in the Spanish cinema of the 1960s and 1970s. He often played villains in the ''Spaghetti Western'' genre of the 1960s. Ignacio Rafael García Escudero (5 June 1919 – 3 September 1981), known as Rafael Albaicín, was a Spanish matador and film actor. In 1948 he began as matador in Las Ventas, taught by Cagancho. Ricardo Palacios
Ricardo López-Nuño Díez (2 March 1940 – 11 February 2015), better known as Ricardo Palacios, was a Spanish actor, film director and screenwriter. Born in Reinosa (Cantabria), Palacios graduated from the Official Film School in Madrid as an actor and director. He debuted in the 1961 TV series ''Poly''. He participated in about 150 films and television series, being mainly active in the Spaghetti Western genre, and he was also a recurring presence in films directed by Jesús Franco. Palacios made his directorial debut with ''Mi conejo es el mejor'', erotic film starring Lina Romay and Emilio Linder. Subsequently, in 1987 Palacios directed ''¡Biba la banda!'' starring Alfredo Landa, and in 1997 he directed the TV-series ''La banda de Pérez''.
