Compact (newspaper)
A compact newspaper is a broadsheet-quality newspaper printed in a Tabloid (newspaper format), tabloid format, especially one in the United Kingdom. The term as used for this size came into use after ''The Independent'' began producing a smaller format edition in 2003 for London's commuters, designed to be easier to read when using mass transit. Readers from other parts of the country liked the new format, and ''The Independent'' introduced it nationally. ''The Times'' and ''The Scotsman'' copied the format as ''The Independent'' increased in sales. A herald, or a herald of arms, is an officer of arms, ranking between pursuivant and king of arms. The title is commonly applied more broadly to all officers of arms. Heralds were originally messengers sent by monarchs or noblemen to convey messages or proclamations—in this sense being the predecessors of modern diplomats. In the Hundred Years' War, French heralds challenged King Henry V to fight. Religious Freedom In Malaysia
The Constitution of Malaysia establishes a right to freedom of religion in Article 11. However, Islam is also established as the state religion of the country in article 3, and article 11 provides for legal restrictions on proselytizing to Muslims. According to Freedom House, the country was scored 1 out of 4 for freedom of religion, with 0 being the worst and 4 being the best, in 2023. Muslims themselves are subject to state enforcement of religious practices; they can be fined by the state for not fasting or praying, may be prohibited from converting, and only Muslims are considered to be ethnically Malay.
