The Gâteau Affairs
''The Gâteau Affairs'' () is a 20 episode TVB series in late 2004 and early 2005. It stars Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Bobo Chan (陳文媛), Jack Wu (胡諾言) and Annie Man (文頌嫻). Bobo Chan provides the voice for the theme song. Gâteaux is misspelt as "Gâteux" for all scenes and captions within the series. Plotline Go Gan is baking a surprise cake for his son, Ban in his work kitchen. It is late in the night and Ban and his mother, Ni wait longingly for father and husband to return. However, they have been living a life of waiting and longing for many years and they are sick of it. They decide to leave for USA. Go Gan then rushes to the airport with his cake to stop them. However, on the way his car crashes into a taxi carrying an old lady. He is spotted by the traffic police who then stop him. Being in a rush, he holds out the cake box and shouts that it is a bomb. Joe Ma Tak-Chung
Joe Ma Tak-chung (; born 27 June 1968) is a Hong Kong people, Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited, TVB actor. Myolie Wu Hang-yee (born 6 November 1979) is a Hong Kong actress and singer. She is previously managed by Hong Kong TVB television station and Neway Star. In 2011, she won Best Actress for her role in '' Curse of the Royal Harem'', Most Favourite TV Female Character for her role in '' Ghetto Justice'' and also "Extraordinary Elegant Actress" at the TVB Anniversary Awards 2011, making her the first ever Triple TV Queen of the year. Annabelle (or Annie) Man Chung-han (), born 20 July 1976, is an actress from Hong Kong. Career Man started her career in television series in 1993 at the age of 16 at ATV. Gregory Charles Rivers (April 19652 February 2024), also known by his Chinese name Ho Kwok-wing (), was an Australian–Hong Kong actor. He was known for his roles in various TVB series, and was dubbed "TVB's token ''gweilo''" (white person) for his frequent appearances as stereotypical Caucasian characters. Early life and education Rivers was born in Gympie, Queensland, in April 1965. He attended medical school at the University of New South Wales, where he became friends with students from Hong Kong who introduced him to Cantopop. He began teaching himself Cantonese by listening to Cantopop cassette tapes while reading the printed lyrics and looking up Chinese words in a dictionary.
