The Difference (album)
''The Difference'' is the first full-length release from UK skate punk band Pendleton (band), Pendleton. It was released on 1 July 2008 by Angry Penguin Productions, Angry Penguin Records. It followed the band's previously released Extended play, EP, ''You, by Us''. ''The Difference'' was recorded at NADA Studios in New Windsor, New York with producer John Naclerio, famed for working with bands such as My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Bayside (band), Bayside and Brand New (band), Brand New. Despite the success of the band's previous release, ''You, by Us'' and the high-profile production of ''The Difference'', the band parted ways soon after the release of the album. Whilst no statement has been forthcoming from the band as the reasons behind the split, several line up changes occurred immediately prior to the recording of ''The Difference'' (particularly the departure of original frontman Mike Hayes). Pendleton (band)
Pendleton was an English four-piece skate punk band from Manchester, England. They were formed in 2000 and went through several incarnations before becoming Pendleton in 2002 when several of the band members met at the University of Salford. They were signed to Angry Penguin Productions, Angry Penguin Records in the US, and Bells On Records in Europe and Japan. History ''You, By Us'' Pendleton were formed at the University of Salford in 2002, and spent several years honing their sound and self-releasing their own material. Although previously adherents to the DIY ethic, DIY punk ethic Pendleton eventually released their debut Extended play, EP 'You, by Us' in the UK in August 2006 on (the now defunct) Distort Manchester Records. Brand New is an American Rock music, rock band formed in 2000 from Long Island, New York (state), New York. Consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Lacey, lead guitarist Vincent Accardi, bassist Garrett Tierney and drummer Brian Lane, the band earned critical recognition as one of the most influential emo bands, and was acclaimed for their musical development and artistic innovation compared to other groups in the scene which they originated from. Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens, neighborhood of New York City, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. Senses Fail is an American rock band formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 2001. Founded by vocalist Buddy Nielsen, drummer Dan Trapp, guitarists Garrett Zablocki and Dave Miller, and bassist James Gill (replaced by Mike Glita shortly after); the band has seen many lineup changes, with Nielsen being the only consistent member. Skate punk (also known as skatecore and skate rock) is a skateboarding, skater subculture and punk rock Music genre, subgenre that developed in the 1980s.
