The Devil's Trap
The Devil's Trap () is a 1962 Czechoslovak historical film directed by František Vláčil. It was inspired by Alfréd Technik's novel ''Mlýn na ponorné řece''. It is considered the first part of a loose trilogy of historical films by Vláčil, the others being ''Marketa Lazarová'' and ''The Valley of the Bees''. The most common term in the United States is "movie", while in Europe, "film" is preferred. Archaic terms include "animated pictures" and "animated photography". "Flick" is, in general a slang term, first recorded in 1926. It originates in the verb flicker, owing to the flickering appearance of early films. ...
