''The Bitter End'' is the first release from Andy Hull's solo project, Right Away, Great Captain. The album was recorded in three days near Bastian, VA in August 2006. It is a concept record focusing on a 17th-century sailor at sea for three years, each song being a journal entry to his family at home or his captain. Right Away, Great Captain!
Right Away, Great Captain! is the solo side project of Manchester Orchestra's lead singer, Andy Hull. Debut album ''The Bitter End'' was released on January 14, 2007 via Favorite Gentlemen Recordings. The follow-up, '' The Eventually Home'', was released on November 11, 2008, also on Hull's label Favorite Gentlemen Recordings. On February 10, 2010, he announced the third and final installment of his solo project's trilogy, '' The Church of the Good Thief'', which was released on June 12, 2012. An additional bonus album consisting of B-sides, demos and one-offs, ''The Lost Sea'', was released on July 13, 2012. The album trilogy chronicles a 17th-century sailor who catches his wife and brother having an affair. He then sets out to sea instead of confronting the two while the anger slowly builds in him. Manchester Orchestra is an American indie rock band from Atlanta formed in 2004. The group is composed of rhythm guitarist-singer-songwriter Andy Hull, lead guitarist Robert McDowell, bassist Andy Prince and drummer Tim Very. Former drummer Jeremiah Edmond parted ways with the band in January 2010 to focus on his family and on running the band's record label, Favorite Gentlemen. The band's original bassist, Jonathan Corley, parted ways with the band in 2013. Keyboardist/percussionist Chris Freeman announced his departure from the band in September 2016. ''The Eventually Home'' is the second release from Andy Hull John Andrew Hull (born November 7, 1986) is an American singer, musician and songwriter. He serves as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter of the indie rock band Manchester Orchestra. He also has a side project, Right Away ...'s solo project, Right Away, Great Captain. The concept record conveys the journey of a 17th-century sailor who has been betrayed by his wife who has committed adultery with his own brother. In this second part of the planned trilogy, the sailor returns home in the song "Memories from a Shore" with the intention of killing both his wife and brother. ''AbsolutePunk'' was a website, online community, and alternative music news source founded by Jason Tate (the most recent CEO). The website mainly focused on artists who are relatively unknown to mainstream audiences, but it was known to feature artists who have eventually achieved crossover success, including Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, The Gaslight Anthem, Anberlin, Thrice, All Time Low, Jack's Mannequin, Yellowcard, Paramore, Relient K, and A Day to Remember. Bastian is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Bland County, Virginia, United States. Bastian is north-northwest of Bland. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 343. Bastian has a post office with ZIP code 24314. History The small Appalachian town of Bastian, Virginia was first settled between the years of 1905 and 1908. Bastian was originally named ''Parkersburg'' after Parker Hornbarger, who along with Jack Hager owned most of the land the town was built upon.
