In 2019, the Government of Tamil Nadu announced that this hospital will be upgraded as Multi Super Speciality Hospital providing all the tertiary care facilities. Silver Jubilee Bus Terminus or Erode Central Bus Station is a terminal bus station located in the City of Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located near Swastik Circle at the junction of Mettur Road and Sathy Road about 3 km north of Erode Junction Railway Station. Panneerselvam Park or P.S. Park is a commercial and business locality in the city of Erode in Tamil Nadu. History In the early 19th century, this locality has celebrated the presence of numerous trees and plantations like a Garden. It was called as Wells Park by the name of ''Wells'' the then Municipal Chairman of Erode Municipal Council. In 1940, it has been renamed as Panneerselvam Park by Periyar E. V. 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic In Tamil Nadu
The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu was reported on 7 March 2020. The largest single-day spike (30,987 cases) was reported on 13 May 2021 and Tamil Nadu now has the fourth highest number of confirmed cases in India after Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka. All 38 districts of the state are affected by the pandemic, with capital district Chennai being the worst affected. As per the Health Department, 88% of the patients are asymptomatic while 84% of deaths were among those with co-morbidities. In June, the state saw a surge in deaths with 209 deaths (36% of the state's recorded deaths) occurring between 11 and 16 June 2020. The initial surge in cases in the state was due to a cluster linked to a Tablighi Jamaat religious congregation event that took place in Delhi, which caused a spike in early April.
