Texas–Tyler Patriots
The UT Tyler Patriots are the athletic teams that represent the University of Texas at Tyler, located in Tyler, Texas, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Patriots are full members of the Lone Star Conference, which is home to all sixteen athletic programs. History As of July 2017, the school was considering a move to Division II as a part of a strategy to be a more significant player in the region, possibly building a new athletic campus in the process. On February 2, 2018, the school formally applied for Division II status; if approved, full membership would begin on September 1, 2021. No conference affiliation was initially announced. After the NCAA approved UT Tyler to begin the transition process, UT Tyler would be announced as a new member of the Lone Star Conference effective with the 2019–20 school year. University Of Texas At Tyler
The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) is a public university, public research university in Tyler, Texas, United States. Founded in 1971, it is a part of the University of Texas System. UT Tyler consists of six professional colleges and one traditional college of arts and sciences, offering over 90 academic degree programs at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels. The University of Texas at Tyler is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The university had a fall 2020 student body enrollment of 9,927 and a 19:1 student to faculty ratio. It has a park-like campus. Western Washington Vikings
The Western Washington Vikings represent Western Washington University in intercollegiate sports in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference of the NCAA Division II with the exception of the women's rowing team which is a member of the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference. WWU has been an official member of NCAA Division II since September 1998. Their mascot is Victor E. Viking. Western Washington sponsors six sports for men and nine sports for women with approximately 350 student athletes. Mascot The story of Victor E. Viking, the mascot, is that he visited Bellingham, Washington, Bellingham in 1923 and decided to become a supporter of the team. He has since become the mascot representation of the Vikings. Ungmennafélagið Afturelding (, ), commonly known as Afturelding or UMFA, is a professional Icelandic multi-sports club from the town of Mosfellsbær located just north of the capital Reykjavík. The club was founded in 1909 and today is primarily known for its handball, football and volleyball teams. Football The team plays their home games at artificial pitch Varmárvöllur in Mosfellsbær. The club played previously on a grass pitch at Varmárvöllur but since 2018 all home games have been on the artificial pitch. The club also has large grass training ground at Tungubakkar. Brittany Lynne Mahomes ( Matthews; born August 31, 1995) is an American sports team co-owner and former soccer player who played as a forward. She is a founding co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a team in the American professional top-division National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Early life Mahomes attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. An accomplished soccer player, in her senior year, she was named WHS Offensive MVP and was an All-East Texas forward with 22 goals and five assists. Playing career Mahomes did not expect to play collegiate soccer after graduating from high school, but played at the University of Texas at Tyler for the Texas–Tyler Patriots women's soccer team after speaking to players she knew there. The Oklahoma City Stars are the athletic teams that represent Oklahoma City University, located in Oklahoma City, in the U.S. state of Oklahoma, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) for most of its sports since the 1986–87 academic year.
