Shelton is a city in and the county seat of Mason County, Washington, United States. Shelton is the westernmost city on Puget Sound. The population was 10,371 at the 2020 census. Shelton High School is a senior high school located in Shelton, Washington. Shelton High School is a class 3A high school and was restructured starting with the 2004–2005 school year to be a Grade 10-12 High School. More than 1600 students, grades 9–12, are enrolled at SHS. Built in 1975, it replaced Irene S. Reed High School, Shelton's first high school. Sports Shelton High School is a 3A division member of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
