Termini (Rome Metro)
Termini is an underground station of the Rome Metro. The station was inaugurated on 10 February 1955 as a station on Line B, and later became an interchange with Line A. The station is found in Piazza dei Cinquecento, under the Termini rail terminal. Together, the two stations form the main public transport hub in the city. Termini is currently the only station in the Rome Metro system to serve both Lines A and B. Termini-Laziali (Rome–Giardinetti Railway)
Roma Laziali is a railway station in Rome located next to the southern façade of Termini station. It is the western terminus of the Rome-Giardinetti railway. History In 1905 the suburban tramway operator STEFER inaugurated their northern terminus on the square in front of Termini station. STEFER connected the southeastern suburbs with Rome. In 1916 the tramstation was expanded in order to serve the SFV suburban tramway to the east. Until the twenties of the twentieth century the suburban tramways transported passengers and freight. The freight services should run towards San Lorenzo goods station, but without a direct track from the SFV line the freight services had to proceed to the terminus, shunt the locomotive and drive in the opposite direction back to San Lorenzo.
