Terje Grøstad
Terje Grøstad (16 December 1925 – 10 July 2011) was a Norwegian painter. graphic artist and illustrator. Biography He was born in Drammen in Buskerud and lived in Flatdal in Telemark from the 1950s. He attended the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (1945) where he trained under Karl Høgberg. He was a student at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts under Per Krohg (1947–50). He made his debut in 1948 at the Larvik Kunstforening. He painted altarpieces in churches including at Havøysund Church and Tana Church and at Brevik Church. Books illustrated by him (using woodcut technique) include ''Aust or Markom'' (1968 edition of Sven Moren's book from 1909), ''Dølen'' (1971–1972 reprint of Aasmund O. Vinje's magazine originally issued from 1858 to 1870), ''Den fjerde nattevakt'' (1972 edition of Johan Falkberget's novel) and ''Vann av klippen'' (2007, Eyvind Skeie). Havøysund Church
Havøysund Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Måsøy Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Havøysund on the island of Havøya. It is one of the churches for the Måsøy parish which is part of the Hammerfest prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. Like most other churches in Finnmark, Havøysund church was burned down by the Germans during the evacuation of Finnmark in 1944. The new church was built of whitewashed concrete and dark wooden timbers in a long church style in 1960 using plans drawn up by the architect Esben Poulsson. The altarpiece and pulpit decoration were painted by the artist Terje Grøstad. The church seats about 300 people. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Location Drammen is located west of the Oslofjord inlet, situated approximately 44 km (27 mi) southwest of the capital city of Oslo. There are more than 100,000 inhabitants in the municipality, though the city is the regional capital of an area with around 82,000 residents. People From Telemark
The term "the people" refers to the public or common mass of people of a polity. As such it is a concept of human rights law, international law as well as constitutional law, particularly used for claims of popular sovereignty. In contrast, a people is any plurality of persons considered as a whole. Used in politics and law, the term "a people" refers to the collective or community of an ethnic group or nation.
