Teringie, South Australia
Teringie is a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. It occupies a commanding position in the Adelaide Hills and overlooks the plains on which most of the city is built. Teringie's small number of houses (less than 100 in total) are mostly large, bush-covered blocks. The suburb is steadily growing with new houses popping up continually. A large portion of the land was originally owned by RM Williams, remains of his original brick factory still form part of a residential property on Norton Summit Road, the now subdivided blocks still owned by descendants of RM Williams. Woodforde is a suburb of Adelaide within the Adelaide Hills Council. It is located about 10 km east of the Adelaide city centre. Woodforde is in the State House of Assembly Electoral district of Morialta and is in the Federal Division of Mayo. The Catholic boys' school Rostrevor College is located in the suburb. Campbelltown City Council has an active boundary change proposal in place to incorporate part of this suburb along with a part of Rostrevor into its boundaries. Magill is a suburb of Adelaide straddling the City of Burnside and City of Campbelltown council jurisdictions, approximately 7 km from the Adelaide CBD. It incorporates the suburb previously known as Koongarra Park. History Magill was first established as the Makgill Estate, owned by two Scotsmen, Robert Cock and William Ferguson, who met en route to the newly founded colony of South Australia when sailing out from Portsmouth on . They formed a partnership as a carrier and merchant following their arrival on 28 December 1836, and purchased Section 285, which was named after Cock's trustee, David M. Makgill. The estate's homestead was built in 1838 by Ferguson, who was charged with farming the estate.
