Brezno
Brezno (; 1927–1948: ; or ; ) is a town in central Slovakia with a population of around 21,000. Etymology The name is derived from the Slovak word "breza" for birch. Geography Brezno is located within the Geomorphological division of Slovakia, Horehronské podolie basin. Brezno lies between the Low Tatras mountain range and the Slovak Ore Mountains, both of which belong to the Inner Western Carpathians. Dubnica nad Váhom (; Slovak before 1927: ''Dubnica'', , , before 1899 ''Dubnic(z)'') is a town in the Ilava District, Trenčín Region in Slovakia. Krupina (, ) is a town in southern central Slovakia. It is part of the Banská Bystrica Region and has approximately 8,000 inhabitants.
