Tepeapulco, Hidalgo
Tepeapulco is a town and one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, in central Mexico.The municipality covers an area of 239 km². As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 49,850. Hidalgo (state)
Hidalgo, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Hidalgo, is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, constitute the 32 Political divisions of Mexico, federal entities of Mexico. It is divided into Municipalities of Hidalgo, 84 municipalities and its capital city is Pachuca, Pachuca de Soto. A ''presidente municipal'' ( English: "municipal president") is the chief of government of municipios in Mexico. This title was also used in the Philippines during the Spanish and American colonial periods; it is comparable to a mayor of the town or city. Apa Y Tepeapulco
Apa y Tepeapulco was a Spanish corregimiento during the colonial period in new Spain (what is today Mexico). It was located in south-eastern Hidalgo consisting of the modern municipalities of Almoloya, Tepeapulco and at least some of Tlanalapa. The region was a frontier province of the Aztec Empire.
