Temerloh
Temerloh is a municipality in central Pahang, Malaysia. Located about from Kuala Lumpur along the Malaysia Federal Route 2, Kuantan–Kuala Lumpur trunk road, Temerloh is the second largest urban area in Pahang after Kuantan, the state capital city. It is situated at the confluence of the Pahang River, Pahang and Semantan River, Semantan Rivers. Today, ''Temerloh'' usually refers to the territory under the administration of Temerloh Municipal Council which includes Mentakab, Lanchang, Kuala Krau and Kerdau. An old town with some colonial buildings and shophouses, the town has prospered in recent years as a transport hub and new industrial centre. There have been many new commercial and industrial hubs built in Temerloh in recent years. Cutting travel time in half, the East Coast Expressway links the town to Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan and adds to the growth of Temerloh. Temerloh District
Temerloh District is a district in Pahang, Malaysia. The district consists of two areas, the Municipal Council Area (64.08%) and the outer Municipal Council Area (35.92%). Temerloh district is bordered by Maran District on the east, Bentong District on the west, Jerantut District on the north, and Bera District on the south. Malaysia Federal Route 2
The Federal Route 2 is a major east–west oriented Malaysian Federal Roads system, federal highway in Malaysia. The road connects Port Klang in Selangor to Kuantan Port in Pahang. The Federal Route 2 became the backbone of the road system linking the east and west coasts of Peninsula Malaysia before being surpassed by the East Coast Expressway E8. Mentakab
Mentakab (alternately ''Mentekab'', Pahang Malay: ''Mentekak'') is a town, a mukim (commune) and a state assembly constituency in Temerloh District in central Pahang, Malaysia. It is northwest from downtown Temerloh and northeast from Kuala Lumpur. History It was originally known as Pasir Rawa. In the late 19th century, Mentakab was a candidate for Pahang's new capital city, replacing Pekan. However, due to its mountainous terrain, Kuala Lipis was instead chosen as the capital of the state in 1898, later replaced by Kuantan in 1955. Transport Rail Mentakab has a railway station operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu. The railway station is on the East Coast Line of the KTM Intercity network, running from Gemas in Negeri Sembilan to Tumpat in Kelantan and goes through the railway station in Mentakab. Pahang River
The Pahang River () mainly flows through the state of Pahang, Malaysia. Its drainage basin covers its Pahang as well as the neighbouring state of Negeri Sembilan. At 459 km in length, it is the longest river on the Malay Peninsula. The East Coast Expressway (ECE; Malay language, Malay: , ''LPT'') is an interstate controlled-access highway running parallel to the northeastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Lanchang
Lanchang is a small town in Temerloh District, Pahang, Malaysia, located 32 km (19.9 mi) from the town of Temerloh and has a total population of 38,473, with a density of 41,000 km2, from the census results of the Department of Statistics Malaysia, Malaysian Department of Statistics of Pahang in 2020. The Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre is situated in Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Enggang, in Kampung Bolok Hulu, Lanchang, Temerloh, Pahang.
