Teko Modise
Teko Tsholofelo Modise (born 22 December 1982), nicknamed The General and Techno M, is a South African retired professional footballer, former Bafana Bafana captain who played as a midfielder and who is currently a staff member at Cape Town City Football Club. Widely regarded as one of the greatest PSL players of all time, Modise's career began in the lower leagues of South African football with Ria Stars and City Pillars. During his time with the latter, he won the Mvela Golden League Player of the Season award, which earned him a move to top-flight side SuperSport United in 2006. The following season he joined local rivals Orlando Pirates with whom he spent six years, winning two PSL Footballer of the Year awards, including the inaugural award, and two club honors. 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup
The 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup was the eighth FIFA Confederations Cup, Confederations Cup, and was held in South Africa from 14 June to 28 June 2009, as a prelude to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Carling Knockout Cup is a South African professional soccer knockout competition which comprises the 16 teams in the South African Premiership. The Carling Knockout Cup is the third of the three main cups administered by the PSL along with the MTN 8 and the Nedbank Cup. The Carling Knockout Cup was first held in 1982 as the Datsun Challenge, and in 2023 under its current sponsored name. Format The format used in this competition is the Knockout Stage phase. The competition will be played by 16 teams in a single knockout match. A winner will be decided after full-time (90 minutes). Pitso John Hamilton Mosimane (born 26 July 1964) is a South African former professional football player and current coach. Club career Mosimane started his senior career at Jomo Cosmos, then he played for Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, before joining Greek club Ionikos to play under coach Nikos Alefantos. He later joined Belgian team KFC Rita Berlaar and Qatari club Al Sadd. It is based in Johannesburg, and was founded in 1996 following an agreement between the National Soccer League and the remnants of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL).
