Tejgaon Thana
Tejgaon () is a thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is in the centre of Dhaka, the capital. In 2006, the boundaries of the thana were redrawn when Tejgaon Industrial Area Thana was created out of the former larger area and again in 2009, when Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana was created. This is an important area of Dhaka city as the prime minister's office is here. It is bounded by Mohakhali to the north, Old Airport Road to the east, Moghbazar- Malibagh to the south and Dhanmondi to the west. It consists of several localities, including Tejgaon Industrial Area, Kawran Bazar, Nakhalpara, Shaheen Bag, Arjat para, East Raja Bazar, West Raja Bazar, Tejturi Bazar, Monipuripara and Tejkunipara. An ''upazila'' ( pronounced: ), formerly called ''thana'', is an administrative division in Bangladesh, functioning as a sub-unit of a districts of Bangladesh, district. It can be seen as an analogous to a county or a borough of Western countries. Kafrul Thana
Kafrul () is a thana of Dhaka District in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Geography Kafrul thana borders Cantonment Thana on the north and east, Tejgaon Thana on the south, and Mirpur Thana and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana on the west. Its total area is 17.8 km2. Demographics According to the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Kafrul Thana had 91,248 households with an average household size of 4.09 and a population of 396,182. Males constituted 53.03% (210,106) of the population while females 46.97% (186,076). Kafrul had a literacy rate (age 7 and over) of 74.8%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 113. There were 179 floating people in this jurisdiction.
