Tego Calderón
Tegui Calderón Rosario (born February 1, 1972) is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer and actor. He began his musical career in 1996 (as Tego Tec) and was supported by the famous Puerto Rican rapper Eddie Dee, who invited him on his second studio album, ''El Terrorista de la Lírica'', released in 2000. Calderón reached international success in 2003 with his first album, ''El Abayarde'', which sold 300,000 copies worldwide and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. His importance in reggaeton music led him to participate in Eddie Dee's ''12 Discípulos'' album in 2004. He released three more studio albums between 2006 and 2015, varying in styles, focusing more in hip hop and African music rather than reggaeton in ''The Underdog/El Subestimado'' (2006) and ''El Abayarde Contraataca'' (2007). Wisin & Yandel
Wisin & Yandel were a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consisting of Wisin and Yandel. They started their career in 1998 and stayed together until 2023, winning several awards including a Grammy Award in 2009. They became the first and the only reggaeton artists to win one. In late 2013, they announced they would take a pause in their career as a duo, after their Líderes Tour. In a 2014 interview with ''People en Español'', Yandel confirmed that the group would not be disbanding. ''El Que Sabe, Sabe'' is the fourth studio album by Puerto Rican rapper Tego Calderón, released 8 years after his last studio album, ''El Abayarde Contraataca'', and 3 years after his mixtape ''The Original Gallo del País''. The album won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album. Background Originally set to be titled ''Mr. T'', the album instead ended being titled ''El Que Sabe, Sabe'' in honor of Tego's father, Esteban Calderón Ibarraza, who died in 2004 and the production's title was a common phrase of him. It has lyrics influenced by Tego Calderón's life and also popular reggaeton. ''El Abayarde Contraataca'' is the third studio album by Tego Calderón. It was released on August 28, 2007. The tracks in the album are a fusion of African and Caribbean rhythms, including salsa, merengue, Colombian and Venezuelan sounds. Tego's first single is " Tradicional A Lo Bravo", produced by Almonte and is proposed from his MySpace page. This album received a nomination for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Urban Album. ''The Underdog/El Subestimado'' is the second studio album by Tego Calderón on August 29, 2006. The first single of the album was titled "Los Maté" ("I Killed Them"), which has garnered much air-play on the radio. During a press conference in Puerto Rico, Tego Calderón expressed that this new album is "a diary of sorts from my experiences. There are happy moments and sad ones". This time around, Tego decided not to use as much reggaeton and focus more on hip-hop. He is also a fan of salsa, blues, funk and reggae (the second single of the album, "Chillin'", is a reggae song completely in Spanish) and he incorporates these styles in the album.
