Technological University (Kyaing Tong) () is in Kengtung Township, East Shan State, Myanmar with an area of 38.38 acres. It was formerly opened as Government Technological Institute (GTI) in 1999 and then promoted as Government Technological College (GTC) in 2001. It was upgraded to university level as Technological University in 2007. Kyaingtong
Kengtung ( , ), also spelt Kyaingtong (; ), classical name Tungapuri, is a city in Shan State, Myanmar (formerly Burma). It is the principal town of Kengtung Township and the former seat of Kengtung State, a minor principality. Kengtung is located on the National Highway 4 (NH4) and at the AH2 and AH3 of the Asian Highway. It is also the largest city and the capital of eastern Shan State, Myanmar. Etymology Owing to Kengtung's proximity to China and Thailand, the city is known by a number of exonyms and endonyms. The endonym used by Tai Khun and Tai Lue-speaking locals is Jeng Tung (ᨾᩮᩨ᩠ᨦᨩ᩠ᨿᨦᨲᩩᨦ) respectively. Other Shan speakers use the exonym Kengtung. The most common exonym, Kyaingtong, is derived from the Burmese approximation of Kengtung. Shan State (, ; , ) is a administrative divisions of Myanmar, state of Myanmar. Shan State borders China (Yunnan) to the north, Laos (Louang Namtha Province, Louang Namtha and Bokeo Provinces) to the east, and Thailand (Chiang Rai Province, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai Province, Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son Provinces) to the south, and five administrative divisions of Myanmar in the west (Kachin State, Mandalay Region, Kayin State, Kayah State, and Sagaing Region). Kengtung Township
Kengtung Township (, ; also spelled ''Kyaingtong'', Kengtong, or ''Mueang Chiang Tung'') is a township of Kengtung District in the Shan State of Myanmar. The principal town is Kengtung. It lies almost entirely east of the Salween River and its area is over . It is bounded on the north by the states of Mang Lon, Mong Lem and Keng Hung (Hsip Hsawng Pannh); east by the Mekong River, south by the Siamese Shan States, and west in a general way by the Salween River, though it overlaps it in some places. The state is known to the Chinese as Mhng Khng, and was frequently called by the Burmese the 32 cities of the Gn (HkOn). The classical name of the state is Khemarata or Khemarata Tungkapuri. Technological University, Taunggyi is situated in Ayetharyar township, Taunggyi District, Shan State, Myanmar. Technological University, Lashio, is a university in Lashio Thein Ni road, Lashio Township, northern Shan State, Myanmar. The university is run by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Technological University, Panglong
Technological University ( Panglong) () is located on Loilem-Nansang main road in Loilem District, Shan State, Myanmar (Burma). To establish as Government Technological College, GTC (Pinlon) in Loilem township, Southern Shan State, the construction of main building and workshop of building area 125952 sq.ft was implemented on 1 July 2002 with the permission of cabinet meeting which was opened it on 11 February 2003. The construction works were completely finished on 24 May 2004. It was opened as a Government Technological College (GTC) on 27 September 2002 and then upgraded as Technological University (Pinlon) on 20 January 2007 by the Government.
