Techniquest Glyndŵr
Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, branded simply as Xplore!, is a science centre in Wrexham, Wales. It is currently based between Henblas Street and Chester Street, Wrexham, Chester Street in Wrexham city centre. Formerly known as Techniquest@NEWI and Techniquest Glyndŵr, as a sister venue to Cardiff's Techniquest, it was housed on Wrexham University's (then Glyndŵr University) Plas Coch campus from 2003 until its relocation in 2020. The centre is operated by North Wales Science, a charity wholly owned by Wrexham University. Description Xplore! is the trading name for North Wales Science, the charity operating the centre, and is fully owned by Wrexham University. Wrexham
Wrexham ( ; ) is a city status in the United Kingdom, city in the North East Wales, north-east of Wales. It lies between the Cambrian Mountains, Welsh mountains and the lower River Dee, Wales, Dee Valley, near the England–Wales border, border with Cheshire in England. Historically in the county of Denbighshire (historic), Denbighshire, it became part of the new county of Clwyd in 1974. St Giles' Church, Wrexham
St Giles' Parish Church () is the parish church of Wrexham, Wales. The church is recognised as one of the finest examples of ecclesiastical architecture in Wales and is a Grade I listed building, described by Sir Simon Jenkins as 'the glory of the Marches' and by W. D. Caröe as a “glorious masterpiece.” The iconic 16th-century tower rises to a height of 41 m (136 feet) and is a local landmark that can be seen for many miles around. It forms one of the ' Seven Wonders of Wales'. St Giles' occupies a site of continuous Christian worship for at least 800 years. TJ Hughes, a trading name of LHR Holding Limited, is a British discount department store brand which first emerged in Liverpool in 1912. Thomas John Hughes started the business on Liverpool's London Road after an apprenticeship with Owen Owen, eventually partnering with Owen Owen in 1925, which allowed him to expand the store into a department store. The business grew under Owen Owen's ownership until it was sold in 1990. In the 1990s and 2000s, TJ Hughes expanded significantly by acquiring locations from other retailers and continued to grow into the 2010s. However, in March 2011, the company was sold to turnaround firm Endless LLP after financial struggles, including the loss of credit insurance for suppliers. The Tour de France () is an annual men's multiple-stage cycle sport, bicycle race held primarily in France.
